About Darren Sinel
Darren Sinel is a second-generation trucking industry professional and licensed insurance agent with over 25 years of experience specializing exclusively in coverage for commercial truck drivers and owner-operators across the United States.
Born and raised in a trucking family in Spring Valley, New York, Darren spent his formative years traveling the country alongside his father — a long-haul truck driver — developing a firsthand understanding of the demands, sacrifices, and risks that define life on the road. That early foundation gave him something most insurance agents simply do not have: a genuine connection to the industry and the people he serves.
After relocating to Boca Raton, Florida and exploring careers in multiple industries including technology and real estate, Darren found his true calling through a defining moment. Watching a close family friend — a fellow owner-operator — struggle financially after a work-related injury with no income protection in place, Darren recognized a critical gap in the marketplace. Truck drivers had commercial insurance, life insurance, and liability coverage, but almost no one was offering them meaningful personal income and accident protection.
He obtained his insurance license and went to work immediately, beginning with the drivers his father knew and expanding steadily from there. His approach was straightforward from day one: no call centers, no 1-800 numbers, no runaround. Just direct, honest, personalized service from someone who understands the industry.
The name “The Truckers’ Insurance Guy” was born organically — a nickname given to him by a driver at a truck stop that Darren embraced as his identity and mission.
Over the course of his career Darren has assisted more than 40,000 truck drivers nationwide in securing income protection, accidental death benefits, hospitalization coverage, health insurance, life insurance, and supplemental plans tailored specifically to the unique needs of the trucking profession.
Today Darren operates as a proud one-man agency — intentionally. Every client who calls reaches him directly. Every question is answered by someone who has spent decades in this industry and treats every policy as a personal responsibility.
